Join The HBF and The Bluffton United Methodist Church in hosting a lecture by Michael Reynolds.Michael Reynolds was born and raised in Bluffton and has called Bluffton home for nearly six decades. He is the founder of the "Bluffton History" Facebook page that has been operating for about 15 years and is committed to researching and publishing real Bluffton history, showcasing old Bluffton maps and photographs, old newspaper articles and recording oral histories of some of Bluffton's senior most citizens. Michael can trace his Reynolds family in Beaufort County nine generations to the 1690s, over 330 years ago. His dad was the first person to hold the title of Bluffton Police Chief, which was a part time job back in the 1960's. Michael's mother's family were some of the Swiss Huguenots who settled Purysburg in 1731, which was the first formal settlement in southern Beaufort County. Michael is truly as local as it gets.
