We are back again for another Bluescreen Short Film Screening at the Cube!
Films: Send us your Films! Yes Films will need to be sent in before the event again. As usual we are looking for Digi Short Films from the BA (Bristol Area) and can be about any subject or genre. The choice is yours!
Submissions are open from – Monday 6th Sept -
And here’s what you need to do...
Send us your Film via WeTransfer to [email protected], headed up ‘Sept Bluescreen’.
And to make things easier for us, the films will need to be in the following format:
20 Minutes and under
MP4 only
H264 Video Compression
File size up to 1GB
Data rate under 5,000kb/sec
Ideally the smallest size file you can manage is best for us.
Film Intros - Again we probably won’t be able to give Filmmakers the opportunity to Intro their Films on the night, due to the simultaneous Stream (we are looking at options!), but if filmmakers can continue to send in a Video Intro instead, if they wanted to - although this is not compulsory, we know some people prefer not to do this, which is fine. But if you can, then send in either a short Video or Audio clip of 10 to 60 seconds long – Please send this as a separate MP4 file.
Film submission end date will be: 20th Sept.
And the full duration of films to be shown will again be 90 minutes and once we hit 90 mins worth of Films received, we won’t be taking any more films in, but they will be shown first up at the next Bluescreen. If we were un-able to screen your film you sent in for the last Bluescreen, please mention when you send in your film/email to us, so we can prioritise it.
Audience/Filmmakers: We will be increasing capacity to 40 people + the Filmmakers, so it will be around half normal capacity of the Cube.
People will need to buy a ticket prior to the event.
Filmmakers will have free entry as per usual and their names will be on FOH on entry, so Filmmakers there is no need to buy a ticket. And we will confirm when your Film has been included in the Programme, to see if you can make it to the screening. We can arrange to seat you next to someone who is in your household/bubble, if required.
Tickets: Will still be a bargain £3.00! There will be no tickets on the door, they will need to be purchased before the event.
Tickets will be sold in a maximum of TWO people per each TICKET BLOCK, but we are also putting up a few ONE Person seating options too.
See the Cubes show info link below…
Bar: At the moment The Cube is not running a Bar, due to ventilation and congregating issues, though there may well be a Pop-up Bar. But you can also BYO drinks in, until further notice.
If any of the above changes, we will of course update you, so keep checking back in to the Cube Programme Page and also on our FB and Twitter Pages. Any questions please do drop us an email.
