If you love good jazz and good music, tonight's the night for you as this power duo brings you a vibe like no other. Veterans in the local music scene, Rick Smith and Richard Jackson have done many fun atmospheric music nights in Maduro much to the delight of our patrons.

Rick Smith is a guitarist, educator and composer with over 40 years of professional experience. He has been based in Singapore for since 1991, contributing to the local Arts and Music scene as a teacher and performer. During this time he directed the NUS Jazz Band for more than 10 years and served as the bandleader/ guitarist at the legendary jazz venue “Harry’s Bar at Boat Quay” for 17 years.
He holds a BA in Music composition and an MA in Master of Arts in Arts Pedagogy and Practice. He taught Music at the LFS Singapore from 2016 to 2020. Currently he is teaching at SOTA and Lasalle school of the Arts.
For the last 26 years, Richard Jackson’s evocative and butter-rich voice has brought him — literally — around the world singing: from his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, to Hawaii, the Middle East, Russia, China, Australia & much of Southeast Asia.
While many have previously likened him to award-winning singers such as Luther Vandross or Marvin Gaye, Singaporean musicians have fully embraced Richard’s sound as unique and part of our local musical landscape, especially so since Richard now calls Singapore home.
Richard’s craft and versatility promises to bring you on wonderful musical euphony, which will leave you craving more.
We are excited to share music that feeds your soul at Maduro jazz & whisky bar, located at the Lower Lobby of Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa.

To keep live music going and to support our artists and musicians, there is a minimum spend of $38++ per guest for all Maduro Music evenings.
Your ticket of $38++ includes $38 credits to be used on beverages only and will be used to offset your bill (for beverages only) at the end of the evening.
Live music will begin at 8.30pm.
