The Toowoomba Blues Jam hosted by Sean P at Bone Idol Brewery. Musicians sign up on the list from 12.45pm on the day. The list gets full quickly so kindly try and arrive as early as possible. It is highly likely you will be playing with musicians you have never met before! Bring your Guitars & Drumsticks, we have everything else. 2-3 songs per set and then we switch up the band with the next people on the list.A few guidelines for the Jam:
1. Its a Blues Jam so we try and keep everything 12 Bar Blues or ballpark 1-4-5 chord progressions. You might know all the chords to Beethovens 9th Symphony in Gminor but the other musicians on stage with you probably won't! Simple is the key here.
2. Ego's at the door, this Jam is a chance for newbies and seasoned pro's to jam together and be respectful of each others skill levels. Everyone gets a go at a solo and supporting each other on and off the stage.
3. Mustang Sally is the only song we respectfully ask you to avoid, we love the tune but it needs to make way for educating everyone on other Blues Material. Cheers.
