Performing at the historic Forest Theatre in Carmel-By-the-Sea celebrated blues guitarist Shane Dwight returns to the Monterey Peninsula for a rare local California performance and will be joined by local favorites the Al James Band.Loaded with his six-string guitar, critically acclaimed Shane Dwight fires away his own mix of blues-rock, country and soul to create a swaggering sound. Shane’s latest album, No One Loves Me Better, is a brilliant collection of songs, some of his most personal yet. From the heartwarming “No One Loves Me Better” to the dark “Bullets & Gasoline” to the sassy “Sucker,” Shane nails life to the wall like a WANTED poster in the wild West. Shane’s songwriting has evolved so far that he may be untouchable for a while as a prolific writer, while his fans will not be able to get these songs out of their heads.

Shane keeps it real with a bi-coastal routing to music festivals, winery series, rodeos, fairs and of course, he will show up at his favorite dive bar to croon. He has performed over 3,500 shows over the past 20 years, headlining at some of music’s most noteworthy events; Beale Street Festival, Portland Waterfront, Reno Blues Festival, Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise, Ottawa Blues Fest; sharing the stage with household names such as Blake Shelton, The Doobie Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, Gin Blossoms, Collective Soul, Etta James, B.B. King and many more.

Singer, guitarist, and composer Al James hails from Seaside, California. His music has been an integral element of his life and his rootsy, soulful delivery has an eclectic vibe flavored by influences from Jimi Hendrix to Stevie Wonder. His compositions and his renditions of songs by other artists have a unique flair and energy: reflective, upbeat and innovative. Backed by a stellar band featuring Jeff Langan on drums, Bill Walker onlead guitar and Jesse DeCarlo on bass, Al’s vocal stylings and dynamism
on stage are irresistible.
