About the band:
Birddog Blues Band delivers an impressive blend of talent, tenacity & tone to the stage, mixing Chicago-style Blues with Rock, R&B and Soul! They feature ‘award-winning’ musicians, starting with guitar virtuoso & singer, Mel Ford. Wisconsin & International music icon, Ben Sidran calls Mel "one of the finest blues players in the Midwest, if not the country." On bass is the charismatic Tom McCarty, who not only lays down spot-on rhythmic grooves, but outstanding vocals as well. Joel Brantmeier (Wheelhouse, Playground of Sound) works the drums seamlessly with Tom to form the perfect, ‘backbone’ rhythm section. On harmonica and vocals is Ken Olufs, a Chicago-based musician who developed his craft playing 300+ shows with the late, great Barrelhouse Chuck. Bring your dancing shoes… It’s gonna be FUN!
