DEEP SIX BLUES are a five-piece Blues and Americana band from Humberside, formed in 2022 by blues aficionadoand singer-songwriter Si Vix. Si has recruited members of the local jazz and blues scene to play and record what he calls the 'Humber Delta blues.' Deep Six Blues play songs built on spellbinding guitar riffs, driving bass lines, wailing harmonica, and passionate vocals that pay homage to legends like Howlin Wolf and Robert Johnson.The band has toured extensively, performing in the UK and Europe, including an appearance at the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival. They released their first EP, Big River, in 2023, followed by their debut album The Devils Hand in April 2024, which made the TheIndependent Blues Broadcasters Association(IBBA) top 20. Deep Six Blues offer an authentic live experience you won't want to miss.ALASTAIR GORDON started performing original material on the Berlin open mic scene in his late teens. In the decade since his voice has been shaped into a rich baritone through years of busking and a creative approach to guitar and harmonica have been shaped by adventurous listening habits. The clearest influences include John Martyn, Charlie Parr and The Felice Brothers. Lyrical content often tackles unconventional subject matter and reflects a life split between South Yorkshire and North Saxony.
