Blues Dance Monday takes place on Mondays except for the first Monday of each month. Let's dance to selected Blues tunes, enjoy the bar's offerings and meet with old and new friends!EVERYONE IS WELCOME
Blues Dance Mondays are social Blues dance events in Helsinki open for everyone. Previous Blues dance experience is not a requirement, but if you are interested in learning opportunities, the organizers and other dancers are happy to help you find more information about courses and workshops.
HOW TO PREPARE
- There is no entrance fee, thus you are encouraged to show your support by buying something to drink or to eat at the bar
- Water is available at the bar
- The floor is made of stone. Especially in winter time there might be dust and small stones on the floor. The organizers do their best in swiping the floor before each party, but please keep in mind that it's a bar, and perhaps don't use your newest and most expensive dance shoes.
- Please keep good care of your personal hygiene and please avoid wearing any strong perfumes out of respect towards those more sensitive of us!
- Some help is needed with arranging the furniture before and after the party. The restaurant closes at 22:00.
- Ravintola Oiva is open all day long, but the kitchen is not open on Monday evenings. However, there are some small snacks to buy at the bar, and there are a lot of restaurants close by for a bigger hunger.
SAFE SPACE
We like to keep our events open for all, thus it's also important for us to keep the party a safe space for everyone attending. Please feel encouraged to turn to the organizer if you have any questions about blues dancing, the social norms followed, or if you wish to know more about our safe space policy. Especially turn to us immediately if you see or experience anything that might violate someone's safe space or comfort.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES
Note that the event will take place only if official restrictions allow.
Please stay home if you have any flu symptoms. We kindly ask everyone to pay special attention to your hand hygiene. You are very welcome to dance only with your own partner or otherwise limit the number of dance partners during the evening. Thank you for being considerate towards the other dancers in any way possible to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for everyone! The organizers are fully vaccinated.
