What is blues dancing?
Blues dancing is a family of solo and partner dances which originated in Black American communities across the USA. These dances evolved alongside Blues music across the country, resulting in different regional styles matching the regional sounds. Blues dances include many different styles with two main stylistic categories; Ballroomin' and Jukin'. All styles share aesthetics and techniques rooted in African American traditions and history.
