Doors open at 7pm, the hour dance class starts at 7:30pm, followed by social dancing till midnight.
Blues dancing developed alongside blues music. The class is open to all levels and is suitable for those who have never danced blues before. We dance because it is fun, and it’s sociable and because music and movement is good for our hearts and our minds.
What is blues dancing? Blues dancing comes from the same tradition as blues music. It is a relaxed improvised, partner dance. This clip is a great example:

Getting there:
It’s super easy by public transport as it’s very close to Newcastle train station.
If coming by car, I suggest parking at the bottom of Westgate Rd (NE4 6AA) as it's free, not far from the venue, and a group of us can walk together to our cars at the end of the night.
