Our blues club nights (second Wednesday of every month) are always brilliant evenings. We are attracting some of the best musicians in the country. And they are selling out well in advance! And they are remarkably good value - just £7.50 (although we will be increasing our prices in April so that we can pay the musicians more).
This month, The Swaps are taking a well-earned rest and we are again handing over the reigns to the multiple award-winning Upton Blues Festiva l.
Their music director/MC and Leamington’s own American ex-pat Stephen “Stein” Steinhaus is curating a TOP night of quality blues, featuring hand-picked artists who have played both the festival and Temperance. Greg Brice Duo : One of our favourite blues guitarists, Greg Brice is returning, this time with Jack Thomas, better known to Temperance regulars as being part of The Achivevers. Brass Hip Flask : Upstart Coventry blues rock trio. Originally created by siblings Stuart and Cal, the sound has naturally developed over the years to deliver punchy, original music with all the nostalgic rhythm of early blues rock giants The Redneck Cabaret: Stein’s new original southern rock - infused blues project featuring Andy Bunn on guitar, harmonica and backing vocals will perform their debut gig and host the jam session at the end.
And a few special guests may well dropping in as well. Doors 7pm. Concert 7:30pm.
