This October, dive deep into the beauty and richness of blues dancing with a two-day intensive workshop designed for intermediate and advanced dancers. Whether you’re looking to refine your technique, expand your creativity, or challenge yourself with new perspectives, this weekend will give you both the tools and the inspiration.
✨ What we’ll explore:
1) Struttin’ (2 classes)
Step into this dynamic Memphis dance. We’ll focus on the grounded connection of the close embrace with a lean, explore rhythmic footwork variations, and add tasteful flashes of style.
2) Intentional Following (2 classes)
Followers will discover new ways to take space and voice in the partnership. Leaders will learn how to listen, adapt, and co-create. Together, we’ll unlock more playful and musical conversations in the dance.
3) Flashy Moves, vol. 2! (1 class)
Back by popular demand! After the success of our last workshop, we’re bringing you a fresh set of impressive moves to spice up your dancing.
4) Musicality (1 class)
Develop your musicality by moving seamlessly between rhythmic and melodic expression. We’ll highlight accents, rhythm changes, and melodic lines inspired by different instruments in blues music, helping you bring the music vividly into your dance.
