This special event from Sistas In Development, Grand Rapids African American Community Task Force, Grand Rapids Media Initiative & Film Incubator (GRMiFi) and community partners brings our Grand Rapids community together to celebrate the power of collective action, collaboration and community impact through the power of music, history and storytelling.
Featuring a special performance by Asamu Johnson and The Associates of The Blues, this interactive and interdisciplinary gathering highlights our shared history and aspirations while launching impactful initiatives like Earn As You Learn and Black Unity-GR. Through smooth grooves, music that moves, fireside chat-discussions, and dynamic presentations, we honor our legacy, build connections, and inspire progress for an inclusive, thriving future.
