Blueprint has been instrumental in establishing Columbus, Ohio, as a legitimate hub for hip-hop. Despite a distinctive, almost cartoonish voice, his lyrical content is rich and multi-faceted, ranging from detailed narratives to sharp punchlines and comedic, relatable humor. His production skills are just as deep and diverse, a natural outcome of his dual-path career as both a rapper and a beatmaker. Blueprint (Albert Shepard) first connected with hip-hop in elementary school, thanks to his DJ cousin. Although he enjoyed freestyling in high school, his true commitment to the craft began in college at Wittenberg University. After regularly participating in open mics, battles, and talent shows, he joined forces with fellow lyricists Inkwel and Manifest to create the group Greenhouse Effect.
