This clinic will go through bluegrass basics and get you jamming after only 1 hour. Phillips is also available for private lessons here at Sloan!
This class is designed to introduce adult learners to the basics of bluegrass and old-time guitar in a relaxed, supportive, and fun group setting.
Students will learn core rhythm techniques like the "boom-chick" strum, simple chord progressions, and how to add bass runs to bring that classic drive and feel to their playing.
Through hands-on practice, familiar tunes, and a bit of jamming, participants will build confidence with traditional chord shapes, timing, and groove—no pressure, just good music and good company.
