Clean a beach with us to celebrate Earth Day and protect marine life from litter!Register at blueoceansociety.org/cleanup
All ages are welcome, although children should be supervised at all times due to the sharp nature of items on the beach.
Please bring gloves to the cleanup. Reusable gloves like gardening gloves, work gloves, and thin winter gloves work well. When possible, we aim to avoid single-use gloves to reduce our contributions to the plastic pollution problem.
We tally all the debris we collect during all of our cleanups using data cards.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can begin these cleanups on time.
Thank you to the Ocean Conservancy for their support of these cleanups.
Navigate to 10 82nd Street In Newburyport, MA. At the parking lot booth, tell the attendants that you are there for the Blue Ocean beach cleanup, and you won't have to pay. Park in the large lot by Captain's Fishing Parties. Instead of walking toward the wooden boardwalks, walk toward the Coast Guard Station and meet in front of the beach shack near the old Coast Guard building with the red roof. If you've walked to the boardwalk, you've gone too far.
