Event Information:
Blue Mountain was formed in 1991 by the husband and wife team, Cary Hudson and Laurie Stirratt. The duo drew their name from a small town near their home base of Oxford, Mississippi, where the band members first began soaking up the regions rich hill country blues scene & incorporating their earlier influences while growing up in the south in the 70s and 80s. Blue Mountain was signed to indie label Roadrunner Records & in 1995 released Dog Days, an album cut mostly live in the studio with drummer Frank Coutch and producer Eric Roscoe Ambel at The Studio, owned by Lou Whitney in Springfield, MO.
