Join us in Blue Island's Oaktober event planting 30 trees around the community!About this Event
Join us in Blue Island as they celebrate Oaktober! We'll be planting 30 trees in this community event. This planting is held in conjunction with Blue Island's forestry board and park district.
No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome! CRTI will provide training on how to properly plant and care for trees. Come work alongside the CRTI team and other fantastic neighbors and volunteers to help us dig holes, plant trees, mulch, and water.
- Please wear long pants and close toed shoes
- Dress for the weather- we will plant rain or shine!
- Make sure to bring a full water bottle, snack, and sunscreen. We will take care of everything else!
We hope you join us and help contribute to the improvement of our local urban forests.
