AFTERNOON WALK with Ice cream for the humans!!!At 4 PM, We’ll start Blue Cow Ice Cream, 2817 shore drive, Virginia Beach. Blue Cow is open until 9 PM. About Blue Cow-We're a small batch ice cream company that makes unique and classic flavors from quality ingredients, sourced locally when possible. We spin our own flavors fresh daily, serving up smiles, one hand-crafted scoop at a time.
But first, we walk for our treat. There is a paved trail next to the parking lot that leads into First Landing State Park. We'll walk the 1.5 miles which will take us to the trail center and then return back via the same paved path. Along the first 1/2 mile we traverse through Cape Henry shores past homes and playgrounds to the edge of the park. The second 1 mile is inside the park and wooded.
We’ll walk the trail to the 1/2-way point, take for a break and snack for the pups and the return back via the same route. Mileage is shown at 3 miles.

Here is the info you need to know:
1. We will meet on the Blue Cow Ice Cream, 2817 shore drive, Virginia Beach and walk at 4 PM sharp. You can park in the paved lot.
2. I plan to walk the trail. Give the dogs a short break and then return to Blue Cow which is approximately 3 miles round trip.
3. I walk about an easy pace. I’m not racing. Or speed walking. But I’m planning to keep moving so I’m not a slow walker either.
4. Wear good shoes, bring water for yourself and your dog.
5. It is unlawful to allow any pet to defecate on any public land. In the event a pet defecates, the owner or custodian must remove the material defecated and dispose of it in an airtight container or wrapper and place same in a garbage receptacle.
6. Dogs should also be well-behaved, which means that they shouldn’t charge at people or otherwise cause a nuisance. Dogs must be leashed in the park but yes, I have seen several not on leashes.
7. I am not a professional guide and every person that attends comes at their own free will. I am not responsible for personal items, loss of, or any injury to anyone or any dog.
8. I’m looking forward to having more of these because I enjoy walks with my dog and would like to make some connections for puppy play dates.
