The holidays can be a difficult time for those who’ve experienced the loss of a loved one, a divorce or separation, the loss of a job, cancer or other illness that puts a question mark over the future, and a number of other human situations. Parties and festivities can be painful for many people in our congregation and community. On Sunday, December 21, St. Luke’s UMC in Orlando will offer a special time of reflection, hope, and healing at our Blue Christmas Worship Service at 4:30 p.m. in Founder’s Hall.
This reflective and comforting service offers a space to acknowledge grief, sadness, and loss while finding hope and peace through prayer, music, and community. All are welcome to come to experience the gentle presence of God in a season that can be emotionally heavy for many.
