Blue Christmas Service Thursday December 18th at 7pm
Not everyone enters the Christmas season with joy and celebration. For many, December carries grief, stress, loneliness or complicated emotions. If this season feels heavy, you are not alone. Pilgrim UCC will offer a gentle and contemplative Blue Christmas service. This quiet worship experience includes soft music, candlelight, and prayer, creating sacred space for healing, reflection and comfort. It is designed for anyone carrying sadness, loss, or weariness during the holidays, as well as for those who wish to support others. Advent reminds us of the promise of Emmanuel-God with us: a God who meets us in both joy and sorrow. Blue Christmas acknowledges the reality of grief while holding space for God’s peace and hope to be born in us again. Friends, family, caregivers, and community members are warmly welcomed.
