Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) is teaming up with the Arkansas chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) and the Bella Vista Police Department for a Blue Blood Drive.All donors will receive a special Blue Blood Drive T-shirt, while supplies last. CBCO will also donate $10 to Arkansas C.O.P.S. for every successful blood donation made at a Blue Blood Drive.

The Blue Blood Drive will be held in honor of the more than 200 Arkansas law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty in state history.
C.O.P.S. is a national nonprofit organization who provides resources to the families and co-workers of the 140-160 law enforcement officers who die in the line of duty every year. Blue Blood Drives like this one are a chance to come together and donate blood in honor of the law enforcement officers who sacrifice so much for their communities.
🩸 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗗?
The CBCO is the sole provider of blood, platelets and plasma to over 40 hospitals in northwest Arkansas, southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas. One donation can help save the lives of three people in these hospitals.

👩⚕️ 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗘
Before the blood drive, donors are asked to take a few steps to ensure that donations operate smoothly on the day of the drive:
1. Drink plenty of water or juice the night and morning before you donate.
2. Eat a well-balanced meal around 2-3 hours before giving.
3. Bring your photo identification: This is now required for all donors.
