A licensed social worker in Philadelphia, Bourne is the author of Anger Management for Black Male Teens: A practical guide on how to help your teen manage their emotions. He is the first in his family to go college, the first in his high school to obtain a graduate degree, and the founder of Bourne Anew, an asocial impact-driven platform leveraging professional development, training, and technical assistance with evidence-based data to ensure effective programming for Black boys and men. Bourne has presented his evidence-based, culturally relevant, antiracist, and healing-centered framework for Black males at colleges, universities, and organizations throughout the nation. He is a professor at Widener University’s Center For Social Work Education. He holds a B.A. in Anthropology/Sociology from Denison and a Master of Social Work with a certificate in Violence Against Women and Children and Network For Social Work Management from Rutgers University.
