The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) class is a fundamental training program designed to teach essential life-saving skills to healthcare providers and lay rescuers alike. This course focuses on teaching participants how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking in adults, children, and infants.
The training includes both didactic instruction and hands-on practice, allowing participants to develop proficiency and confidence in their ability to respond effectively during cardiac arrest and other emergencies. BLS certification is widely recognized and is essential for healthcare professionals, first responders, and individuals seeking to be prepared for emergency situations.
Here's what you can expect from an AHA BLS class:
CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants: Learn the proper techniques for performing CPR on adults, children, and infants, including chest compressions and rescue breaths.
Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED): Gain proficiency in operating an AED to deliver timely defibrillation during sudden cardiac arrest.
Relief of Choking: Practice techniques for relieving choking in conscious and unconscious victims of all ages.
Team Dynamics and High-Quality CPR: Develop teamwork skills and understand the importance of effective communication during resuscitation efforts.
Recognition of Life-Threatening Emergencies: Learn to recognize signs of cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and other life-threatening conditions, enabling prompt action and intervention.
Completing an AHA BLS course empowers participants to be prepared and capable of responding to cardiac emergencies with confidence and competence. This training emphasizes the importance of early recognition and intervention, emphasizing the critical role of bystander response in improving outcomes for victims of cardiac arrest and other life-threatening events.

Certification: Upon passing the hands-on and written exams, students will receive an electronic certification (e-card), from the AHA that is valid for 2 years.
Location: Curacao Business Center. Corner of Union St and Olympic Blvd.
Parking: Parking is FREE! Take your ticket and we will validate it. There is a conveniently located parking deck at the Curacao Business Center where the class is located. Enter the 1605 tower on Union Ave.
Classroom: Easy to find. From the parking deck, take the elevator to the 5th floor. Suite 500.
Instructions: We will send you a text message with additional information before your class.
Arrival: Doors open at 8:55am. Doors lock at 9:05am. There is no late entry. We start on time to get you out on time! We are efficient, yet thorough!
