About this Event
Rare plants in an urban expanse ?
Join naturalist and botany scholar Audrey Bartow on a lifelong community-led project to record and photograph the native flora of Lenapehoking.
On this edition of our weekly program series, we’ll try our luck at glimpsing uncommon native wildflowers in an unlikely setting: The Bronx!
Stretches of protected woodlands and rocky landscapes formed by glaciers provide habitat for countless creatures. Van Cortlandt Park on the northern border of New York City is home to an amazing array of wildlife, including plants not often seen in a concrete jungle.
This lollipop loop is about three miles along wooded, gravel, and asphalt trails.
All ages and levels of nature knowledge are welcome.
Dress for the weather and conditions.
