About this Event
We Bloom in Each Other's Light
Chattanooga artist , Kate Warren, invites you to attend a free art opening of their light installation Blooms. This interactive outdoor, light garden is the debut of the artist's foray into data visualization. Attendees will be able to interact with the three colorful installations and enjoy a variety of hand made blooms created from aluminum cans. Tea and tamales will be available.
Ms. Warren is a community artist that works outside the formal lines of art to connect and celebrate Chattanooga's vibrant communities. The flowers in the piece involved a span of workshops with the LGBTQ community along with their friends from UTC Spectrum, Barking Legs and Art 120.
These collective creations come to life Tuesday, December 9th, in the Barking Legs Garden. The event begins at 5:30 PM and will be followed by a heartfelt theater performance titled “Finding Lupin,” a moving personal story about a mother and her child’s transition journey.
Special thanks to our technology development team from the University of Tennessee's Cybersecurity Program: Ben, Brennan, Eric under the leadership of Professor; Bill Worden and Dr. Phoung as well as ChattLab's lead hacker and Repair Cafe organizer, Timothy Martin.
Step into a world of vibrant colors and mesmerizing lights with Blooms! It’s a super fun and immersive experience perfect for anyone who loves art, tech, or just wants to have a blast with friends and family. Don’t miss out on this interactive spectacle that lights up your imagination!
