About this Event
Blooming Ulysses is a one-man stage adaptation by Gerry Farrell of James Joyce's Ulysses that invites the audience to accompany the central protagonist Leopold Bloom on his wanderings around Dublin. It is a humorous and energetic performance that has been acclaimed by theatre goers and academics alike and serves as an excellent introduction to the novel. This fine production has travelled the world receiving rave reviews wherever it goes and we are delighted to present it at Bewley's for the Bloomsday festival.
"An incredible performance that brought this great work to life .....Gerry moved with ease from the meandering stream of consciousness of Bloom … to the energetic and hilarious Citizen in the Cyclops episode. This is a must see show for anyone interested in understanding and enjoying this great work." Professor Gordon Turnbull Yale University USA
