About this Event

?BLOOM CLUB GARDEN PARTY ?

Celebrate the return of spring with us and learn about the future garden we're building in SE Portland! We're dreaming of an accessible, free community learning garden to gather and grown with each other.

We’ll be coming together at Adapt Cafe with non-alcoholic sips, delicious snack offerings (including vegan and gluten free options), and cake from @butterpdx to vision, imagine, and talk about the future garden we’ve been working towards building over the last 3 years ~ fun fact the future garden is just a few blocks up the street from Adapt!

Garden Party details and agenda-ish

  • Photo booth - the theme is blooming so wear whatever fabulous fit makes you feel like you are emerging from winter as a radiant butterfly (or caterpillar) into sun dappled wildflower meadows!
  • Bloom Club community zine - you're encouraged to bring a small collagable photo, print, poem, pressed flowers or leaves, etc. to add to the community zine we're making.
  • Sips and snacks will be provided - as always, we'll have a cute spread for you including non alcoholic drinks, tasty snacks, and YES a gorgeous cake. There will be a gluten free and vegan treat offering in addition to the cake by butter.
  • Share out and community discussion - we are so excited to talk with you about the future garden and how special it has been organizing together the past couple of years. There will be time for community conversation.
  • Interactive garden design - we will have garden design ideas for you to engage and interact with.

? This is a gentle agenda

  • Meeting, greeting, getting first snacks and sips until 5:30ish
  • Share out and community discussion until 6:15ish
  • Cake, more sips, chatting, interacting with garden design, adding to the zine, etc. unil 7ish fyi ~ we usually get started a little late and go a little late :)

Accessibility

  • ADA entry and restrooms.
  • Mixed standing and sitting with limited chairs and tables.
  • Mostly indoor space with air purifier, limited outdoor space.
  • There will be music and conversation but no intense lighting.
  • Masks required when not sipping or snacking.

? Please email us at [email protected] if you have any access needs.

Getting to the party, if you are...

  • Driving or carpooling, there is free street parking very close by.
  • Walking or rolling from the neighborhood, we'll be directly off of SE Milwaukie and the cross street is SE Cora.
  • Biking there are places to lock your bike and there is a Biketown station not far by Rose City Coffee across from Brooklyn Park.
