About this Event
Following a talk by Corrina Earlie about her work, the artists husband and celebrated figure in the field of meditation Dermot Whelan will lead a talk on the benefits of nature and creativity in fostering a peaceful mind. After this participants will be guided through a gentle yoga session with Melissa Curtis. With over 20 years experience as a yoga teacher. She is one of the lead teachers in Irelands highly regarded The Elbowroom Dublin. Set against the backdrop of the art she will incorporate themes of balance and relaxation inspired by the flowers. To conclude Carmel Hunter a dedicated practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturist will finish off the session with some gentle acupressure for the final relaxation and body scan. A unique way to spend a Sunday morning, experiencing art connection and rejuvenation!
Please bring your own mat and a cushion and blanket if possible.
All funds raised at this will go to directly to GLAS community gardens in Ballymun, a great outdoor space of learning about sustainability and green living. It caters to all kinds of groups from the local community, providing them with a sense of belonging and wellbeing,extending the theme of growth and light beyond the gallery walls.
