With centuries of beer brewing tradition behind them, it is little surprise that some Australian brewers are more than a little inspired by Belgium beers. Without the burden of centuries long brewing tradition, Aussie brewers can tweak, modify and create uniquely Aussie versions of the traditional brews. Pop in for a paddle of Belgian flavours from Madocke Beer, Fick Brewing, Slow Lane Brewing, Caldera Brewing and introducing La Petit Rocher.La Petit Rocher (LPR for short) is a new brewing project from Queensland beer stalwarts Ian Watson & Rocky Reed. These two legends have been kicking around the Brissy brew scene since before it could be called a scene. There is a long love for the industry and an even longer obsession with good Belgian booze. LPR is inspired by the Belgian classics and a love of sharing that special bottle with a bunch of friends. We are bloody excited to be sharing the first pours of LPR with our Belgian Beer Week friends!
Ian and Rocky of La Petit Rocher will be hanging around all night to chat about their brews and probably anything beer. Join in a guided tasting of the LPR beers on tap and learn about the brewing process and inspiration with the pair at 6:30pm or just swing by anytime for a paddle and a chat.
