About this Event
We currently meet fortnightly in Leeds city centre, at the Chance and Counters board game cafe. We run side-by-side and back-to-back games of Blood on the Clocktower.
We cater to new and experienced players.
About the game:
If you’ve seen the BBC TV Series, The Traitors, then you’ve got a good sense of what this game will be like.
Blood on the Clocktower is a game of M**der and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller.
A social game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it.
Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know.
The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon.
The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village.
Overview of what to expect:
Around 70% of players will be on team Good. The remaining 30% are on team Evil.
Good team wins by successfully eliminating the head honcho of the Evil team, the Demon.
Evil team wins by decimating the majority of players. When only two players remain alive at the end and the Demon is one of them, Evil wins.
The game is played in Day and Night phases.
Many players will be woken in the Night to learn helpful information to narrow down which characters are in play and who shouldn’t be trusted. The Demon also gets to K*ll a player every Night.
During the Day, players have the opportunity to talk with each other, gather information from others, and lie, bluff or provide truthful information in return.
At the end of the Day phase players get a chance to vote off a player hoping to eliminate the Demon and secure a victory for the Good team.
