This Blood & Plunder day we will be hosting a large scenario multi-player game replaying the December 1675 Great Swamp Fight. For this each player should bring a 100pt force. Each force should partially contain either Natives (to represent the Narragansett) or Militia (to represent the British).This will be a great introductory game for any new players who want to experience Blood & Plunder. We will have extra forces for those wishing to join in the scenario.
On December 19, 1675, as part of “King Phillip’s War”, British colonists assembled a large army of 1,150 men with the objective of destroying the Narragansett camp built on what was known as the Great Swamp in Rhode Island. The native camp was built on five acres of higher ground, which was surrounded by a large swamp. The higher ground was enclosed by a stockade and comprised at least 500 houses, and was crowded with a large number of Native Americans seeking shelter.
