Rhythmic Movement Training, emotions, inner leadership and the limbic system
About this Event
In this level 2 course, we study the relationships between reflexes and our emotions, our challenges, our fears, and paralysis due to fear. It clarifies the role of the limbic system in emotional control and stress, and how the BRMT integrative exercises are very effective for working with individuals with Autism, ADHD, OCD, emotional outbursts, self-regulation challenges, sensory difficulties, and many other issues.
In this course we will study the reflexes that especially affect our emotions:
Fear Paralysis Reflex
Moro Reflex
Tendon Guard Reflex
Spinal Perez Reflex
Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex
If we are not able to meet in-person due to Covid restrictions, the course will be moved online. During the course Zoom times, you will need to have someone with you to do the passive movements and isometrics. One week prior to the course, estimated time breakdown for course content and partner work will be provided to assist with organizing partner work.
