Discover the ancient art of Indian block printing and print a cushion for your home. Enjoy a fun and creative workshop that is great fun for all abilities!If you are new to Indian Wooden Block Printing or want a refresher then this workshop is perfect for you.
Block printing is the earliest of all methods of textile printing and is still widely used today. It can be used to create designs on bags, soft furnishing, clothing, lampshades, paper, and more.
During this workshop, you will be using hand-carved wooden blocks made in rural India by skilled artisans.
You will choose from a large selection of blocks and experiment with colour and design. Learn how to use two or three colours together and how to create repeat patterns on your sampler piece of fabric.
Once you are ready to move on you will print a cushion cover and leave with a complete cushion printed in the design of your choice!
Cost: £40 - includes all materials, tea & coffee.

NOTE: Please wear old clothing and bring an apron - you will be using fabric paint that will mark your clothing.

Please note: the Craft Barn is an old stone barn accessed via external stone steps with handrails and may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
