Volunteers Needed! We are so excited to work with The Food Group again this year for our annual Blizzard Bag Blitz! We need some more help packing shelf stable meals into bags on Wednesday, October 15th from 10am - 12pm. What is a Blizzard Bag?
It’s a bag filled with shelf stable, low-cook and no-cook meals and delivered to Meals on Wheels clients that can be stored away and used when the weather turns ugly and Meals on Wheels volunteers can’t make it out on the road to deliver meals.
Why?
In case of Blizzards or other hazardous winter conditions that might prevent volunteers from delivering a daily meal, we make sure everyone has food to get by until the roads are safe for deliveries again!
