A smash comedy, Blithe Spirit follows the skeptical (and occasionally cantankerous) writer Charles Condomine and his long suffering wife, Ruth. When Charles calls upon the psychic services of the eccentric Madame Arcati to help him research an upcoming novel, he finds himself getting more out of the evening than he bargained for: the spirit of his first wife, Elvira. Witty, insistent, and invisible to all except Charles, Elvira attempts to disrupt Charles’ second marriage as the play descends into comic chaos, and Ruth gets caught in the crossfire.
