Join us for a hilarious evening of queer comedy at the Future Yard in Birkenhad. Get ready to laugh until your sides hurt as our talented comedians take the stage. This event promises to be a night filled with joy, humour, and good vibes.

This Pride Month special features some of the best and up and coming LGBTQ+ comedians from across the North West and will be a laughter-packed evening from start to finish.

Guest MC: Alex Stringer

Alex Stringer will stepping in as guest MC for this very special night.

Mary Cross

After breaking on to the comedy scene in 2022, founder of Bliss Comedy, Mary Cross has quickly become a firm favourite on the circuit with her own brand of high-energy comedy which leaves audiences on a euphoric high.

Longlisted for the Funny Women Awards in 2023, a sellout show in the Women in Comedy Festival and Lancaster Comedy Festival, UK Pun Championship Semi-Finalist in the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2024 and recently selected for the heats of British Comedian of the Year, Mary's combination of relatable stories, original songs and linguistic acrobats is a sure-fire winner.

Mary will be taking a break from her usual MC duties for this special Pride Month gig so she can perform her full set.

AJ Rohan

AJ Rohan burst onto the North West Comedy circuit in 2021 and has been a rising star ever since. AJ is cheeky, and sassy, carrying great confidence throughout his set. AJ navigates you through his life as a British gay man, from unique observations, his relationship with his mother, and his own coming out. AJ recently won his heat of Hot Water Comedian of The Year and is one to watch on the UK Comedy Circuit.

Kimia Etemadi

Kimia Etemadi is a bi comedian from South Manchester. She was a guest on the podcast 'Drunk Women Solving Crime' as well as a contestant on both 'The Chase' and 'Mastermind'. She has performed comedy in various venues around England.

Lloyd and Williams

Lloyd & Williams Comedy Double Act was brought into being during the first lockdown when Sarah Lloyd and Nia Williams decided to unite their talents into one riotous act showcasing roast style standup, and bawdy acappella sing along songs

Inspired by the likes of Morecambe and Wise, Laurel and Hardy, Wood & Walters and Flo and Joan, their high energy set has been compared to the anarchic humour of Rik and Ade, with several performances as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Jonny Collins

Jonny Collins creates anarchic, genderqueer comedy exploring sex, gender and sexuality through an aggressively inclusive and progressive lens. Weaving explorations of gender philosophy, personal introspection, and leftist political rage into tight, punchline packed sets celebrating queer joy, solidarity, and hope in the face of hostility and oppression.

Lizzie Norm

Frumpy and funny, Lizzie Norm is a northern comic with a dry wit, a quirky slant, and weird observations. So You Think Your Funny 2nd runner-up 2023, heard on BBC Radio4 extra and local BBC radio.

Lizzie will be doing a full run with the Gilded Balloon as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and is a semi-finalist in the Comedy Boomers LGBTQ New Comedian of the Year which is taking place later this year.

Miss Angela Bra

Pronounced like “candelabra” and equally classy, Miss Angela Bra is an award-winning musical comedy drag queen who blends songs (originals, parodies and covers), one liners, crowd-interaction and storytelling into performances at cabarets, bingo nights, brunches and comedy shows.
