About this Event

Join Dr Jess Macbeth as she debunks some of the most prevalent myths about visual impairment and sport. From the notion that you can’t do sports if you are blind, to the idea of developing compensatory superpowers. Explore how sport is designed and adapted for blind and partially sighted people, what barriers they face, and the empowering role sport can play in their lives.


Our free public lectures are held each month to ignite discussion and share interesting ideas and knowledge with everyone. Whether you’re a student, professional, or simply a knowledge seeker, our lectures are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. They are a melting pot of thoughts and perspectives from diverse backgrounds.
