The Blind Boone Piano Concert Series celebrates the legacy of John William “Blind” Boone, a renowned Missouri-born pianist and composer, honoring his influence on American music and carrying his musical legacy forward through live performance.Pianist and composer Royce Martin is coming to Columbia for a special performance celebrating the legacy of ragtime piano. A Berklee College of Music graduate and former Scott Joplin State Historic Site pianist, Martin blends history, storytelling, and innovation through his genre-defining “Swagtime” style, praised by The New York Times as “sly, relatable, and brilliant,” bridging the sounds of past, present, and future.
