For 26 years, the Blessing Tree has been a beacon of hope, love, and remembrance–a symbol of our community coming together to honor and remember those who hold a special place in our hearts. Once again it will shine brightly at Be the Light Park in Downtown Bettendorf (1108 State Street)
Standing 32 feet tall, the Blessing Tree can be seen from near and far–a reminder that our connections to one another light the way through the holidays and beyond. This special place welcomes visitors anytime to honor, remember and celebrate.
You can be part of this heartfelt tradition by sponsoring a light, bow, or ornament in memory of, in celebration of, or in gratitude for someone meaningful to you. Each name will appear on our Blessing Tree webpage and a holiday blessing tribute card will be sent to the individual or family to let them know they or their loved one has been honored. Your support helps sustain the free programs and services offered by Cancer Support Community at Gilda’s Club.

Join us for an evening of warmth and togetherness on Tuesday, December 2nd from 6pm to 7pm at Be the Light Park. Enjoy cocoa, cookies, and carolers as we gather to read the names of loved ones at 6:15pm and illuminate the Blessing Tree at 6:30pm. The tree will continue to shine through January 1st. Convenient parking is available nearby so bring your family and friends and make this a part of your holiday tradition.
Proceeds will benefit Cancer Support Community Iowa & NW Illinois at Cancer Support Community at Gilda’s Club programs and services that are available to anyone in our community that have been impacted by cancer. All programs and services are available at NO COST to those that participate because of your generosity and shows that Community is Stronger than Cancer!
