Join us in the annual blessing of the pets (in partnership with Calvary Episcopal Church) on Wednesday, October 8. The blessing of animals witnesses to God's and the Church's love, care, and concern for creation.The event will be held in the grassy area located behind First Christian Church, along Carter Avenue. Participants are invited to park in the church lot and walk over to the grassy area. Participants are also welcome to bring chairs/blankets/etc. All pets need to be on a leash if possible.
All animals are invited and everyone is encouraged to join us in continuing what God began when He blessed the animals upon their creation. If your child is unable to have a pet for any reason, they are invited to bring a stuffed pet to be blessed.
