Our pets! They charm us, love us – and because the pandemic results in many owners spending considerable periods at home – our pets comfort us even more.This year St. Matthew's will conduct an abbreviated Blessing of the Animals for our beloved four-legged, feathered, and also finned friends with their owners on Saturday, October 30 at 2 pm.
The courtyard is entered by gate on the western side of Delaware Avenue south of St. Matthew’s.
Owners are asked to wear masks and to have their pets leashed. Water and refreshments will be provided. Area parking is limited but generally available on Saturday afternoons. Meet and greet other pet owners and neighbors in our Southwest and Navy Yard communities! Enable Fido and Fidora to make new acquaintances and to renew friendships!
