Blessing of Candles, Eucharist, Burning of Christmas Tree, Christmas Lunch

The 40th and last day of the Christmas season is 2 February - the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, also known as Candlemas.

11am Blessing of Candles & Sung Eucharist with full choir is followed by the burning of the Christmas Tree. A Christmas Lunch, complete with Christmas crackers, is served in Revelation Gallery. During lunch Blessing of Throats will be offered. (Blessing of Throats normally takes place on the Feast of St Blaise (3 February), but at St John's we combine it with our Candlemas celebrations).
