About this Event
Welcome to the Blessed and Highly Flavoured Intergenerational Cooking Workshop happening at La Poubelle Magnifique on February 10 & 11, 2026 at 6:00 PM (Eastern Time). Hosted by me, Chef Marissa Leon-John (ElleJay's), and my dad. 👨🏾🍳👨🏾🍳
In this free 2-part workshop, my dad and I will introduce you to one of my absolute favorite Caribbean dishes - one that I beg dad to cook for me especially during the cold winter snap. We will be making a Vincy 🇻🇨 boileen with king fish, ground provisions, coconut dumplings and root veg.
Translation: a delicious fish stew 😋 👌🏾
On night 1 (Feb 10), we will walk you through selecting ingredients, what to look for in the best produce and how to marinate our star protein, King Fish 🐟
Then, come back for night 2 (Feb 11), where we will take our prepared ingredients and cook a beautiful dish that we will share together as a family.
Come alone or bring a loved-one. You don't want to miss out on this unique experience and be transported from the cold ❄️to the warmth 🌴of the Caribbean islands ✨️✨️✨️
Spots for this free event are limited so don't hesitate.
We can't wait to see you there 🙏🏾
