This class is geared towards beginning to intermediate colored pencil artists. While there may some overlap with the first workshop at Brewtifully, this one will focus on different techniques, including the method of gridding to draw pictures more accurately and the various ways one can use a solvent to improve and speed up the process.
We’ll talk about what brands of colored pencils and paper to use (this time with an eye towards how they interact with the solvent), basic blending and layering, and how understanding shapes, lighting, and shadows can level-up our skills.
Finally, the students will apply what they’ve learned toward a more finished portrait drawing. Your pencils are yours to keep as well.
