Class Dates: November 12th, 19th and December 3rd
This class is designed for those interested in learning to use the program Blender with no prior knowledge required. The class will last 3 weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm. You will learn how to model objects for 3-D printing and for rendering as images or animations.
Blender is a free and open-source 3D computer graphics software tool set that runs on Windows, MacOS, BSD, Haiku, and Linux. It can be downloaded at www.blender.org for free! Blender is used in Hollywood for special effects, animation, architectural pre visualization, motion graphics and for creating 3-D files for printing.
Please Bring: A laptop and 3 button mouse and have Blender 4.2 downlaoded before you arrive.
Byron Kindig is a graduate of the University of South Florida. He has been using the 3D animation software suite, Blender, since 2002 and has been teaching Blender since 2005. He organized the first Blender Conference in the United States in 2007 as well as two more conferences since then.
Besides teaching Blender in Kingsport a number of times and once in Casper Wyoming at Casper College, he also offers individual tutoring in person and virtually.
He has presented demonstrations of Blender at the Kingsport Art Guild twice, 3 times at the Kingsport Maker Faire, the University of Virginia, in Wise, and at the Geek Out Conference in Asheville.
