Learn how to support those struggling with mental health or substance use challenges with our Adult Mental Health First Aid training!
About this Event

Mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, psychosis and substance use disorders are shockingly common in the US. Unlike physical conditions, mental health challenges can be difficult to detect, so those in need of mental health services often don’t get them until it is too late. Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare is providing a FREE Mental Health First Aid course to prepare our communities with the knowledge and skills to help individuals who are developing mental health problems or are experiencing a mental health crisis. Mental health first aiders learn a 5-step action plan that guides them through the process of reaching out, offering appropriate support and connecting individuals with helpful resources when necessary. In the blended format, participants must complete approximately 2 hours of pre-work before the in person session on the training date.
