Non Accreditation – FAIB (First Aid Industry Body)
Accredited by ITC and meeting Ofqual standards,
What is the difference between Non Accredited and Accredited?
The main difference between non-accredited training via the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and accredited training through ITC First – Ofqual lies in the level of formal recognition and regulatory oversight associated with the training.
Non-Accredited Training (FAIB)
Recognition: Non-accredited courses are often recognised by employers and organisations that value practical, industry-relevant training, but they may not carry formal recognition from regulatory bodies.
Flexibility: FAIB courses may offer more flexibility in terms of course design and delivery. Training providers can adapt their programs to meet the specific needs of their audience without adhering to strict accreditation requirements. However we do follow all the same content, and training delivery as our Accredited course content.
Monitoring: While FAIB courses are monitored to ensure they meet industry standards.
Accredited Training (ITC First – Ofqual)
Formal Recognition: Accredited courses are officially recognised by regulatory bodies and may be required for certain workplaces or industries. This can enhance employability and credibility.
Standardised Curriculum: Accredited training must adhere to a standardised curriculum and assessment criteria set by Ofqual, ensuring consistency in content and delivery across different providers.
Rigorous Oversight: ITC First undergoes rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain its accredited status, providing an additional layer of confidence for employers and participants.
Conclusion
While both types of training aim to deliver essential first aid skills, the choice between them often depends on the specific requirements of the setting or organisation. Employers may prefer accredited training for its formal recognition, while others may find non-accredited courses sufficient for their needs. Ultimately, it’s essential to consider the context and requirements of the workplace when deciding which type of training to pursue.
Our Training course will follow Ofqual regulations however the certification will differ depending on the option you take.
