About this Event
Bleak Mystique began when Sam Shapiro asked Aidan Hutchings to play bass in his band. They began rehearsing and writing music, releasing their first single on the day of their first performance in May of 2021, towards the end of their junior year at the University of Denver. The next year was filled with shows around Colorado, and many releases including 8 singles and 2 EPs. By the end of 2022, the band had added Mitch Segura to their lineup to make their live sound more closely emulate their studio recordings.
The band continued to release many singles throughout 2023 and 2024, completing their first tour of the American Southwest in the summer of 2023, with an expanded tour planned for the summer of 2024. The band often opens for nationally recognized acts in their hometown of Denver, as well as other Colorado cities, and is building a following throughout neighboring states through their touring and growing social media presence.
Despite their increasingly frequent live performances, the band makes sure to always put the quality of their music first.
