About this Event

Welcome to Blackthorn Ritualistic Folk's Samhain Celebration! Venture through the pillar gates, which has a Griffins head with a bloody hand in its mouth, and the other a chained Talbot hound, and you will discover our venue's location. Canon Frome Court is a Grade II listed country building, originally a sixteenth century moated manor house which has some dark history dating back to the English Civil War. The then moated house, contained a Royalist garrison with some 120 men. It was captured in 1645 by a Scots army led by the Earl Of Leven's in his advance of Hereford. The house was ransacked, some 70 men of the garrison were killed by Parliament's men, and many of the dead were buried where they fell. Here at this historical location join Blackthorn Ritualistic Folk as we celebrate the end of the harvest on Saturday Oct 26th 2024 from 15:00.

Experience a night of music, dance, storytelling, and ritual as we come together to celebrate the end of the harvest and welcome the darker half of the year.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with nature, spirit, and community.

🎟️Gates open at 3pm and close at 5pm.

⛪️ Visit the Church of St James which is housed on the grounds. The church is actually the third to be built on the site, and sits within yards of Canon Frome Court, the family home of the Hoptons for nearly four hundred years.
